HISTORY

The inception of the organization was as a family business at the beginning of the 90s with the name Comercial Teixeira.

It was founded by Mr. Ricardo Teixeira and Ms. Rosana Carvalho. In its beginnings it was dedicated to the elaboration, sale and distribution of natural orange juices named “Eco Fruta”. Entering later in the production of vanilla essences and food colorants. In 2003 by the hand of the visionary Ricardo Teixeira, who identified the need of a table-top sweetener with a pleasant taste to the palate, without metallic taste and which adds the multiple benefits that the Ka´a He´e offers, the KADO Sweetener joined the family products. Afterwards, in order to compete in the market with the price and quality ratio, the economic line called ZITO was introduced.

In 2007, Comercial Teixeira become Teixeira S.R.L., which as a legal entity allows a better and more efficient administration of the company for the activities that it is performing. Furthermore, in 2010 the strategic decision to sell the Eco Fruta brand with all the infrastructure took place; decision taken due the physical facilities were limited for production, added to the sale of sweeteners that remains constant since its inception and the low return offered by the Eco Fruta line compared to other products. After that in 2012, food colorants also stopped being produced for similar reasons.

Nowadays, the organization is constituted as Teixeira S.A., dedicated to the manufacture of food products, addressed to health and well-being care people; it develops high quality and healthier products committed with innovation, technology and quality processes supported by international standard regulations.
